Welcome to this Ezine comparison of the Cuisinart DCC-2200 Brew Central 14-cup coffee maker and the Capresso 464.05 Coffee team GS 10-cup Digital with Conical Burr Grinder. Over the course of the next few paragraphs we will be looking the key issues that might make one of these two coffee makers the machine for you.
The Cuisinart DCC-2200 is really very good at making great coffee, and with such a solid durable design is an option that anybody might consider. One small issue with this machine might be the fact that it doesn't have a thermal carafe. This is something a lot of gourmet coffee lovers have issue with. That is mainly because they leave the coffee on the hot plate for far too long, my advice when brewing coffee with a non-thermal carafe would be only to brew coffee that you will be drinking within the next hour or so. One other note about thermal carafes; while they are great at keeping the coffee hot, they are awfully slow at dispensing coffee.
The Capresso 464.05 on the other hand does have the thermal carafe, and won't let anybody down when it comes to making some really tasty coffee either. Some previous machines from Capresso have received bad press about being difficult to clean, but I think this model should not cause you any real problems, the filter basket is removable and quite easy to clean in fact.
Quickly in summary, I should say that the Cuisnart is best for someone wanting that extra amount of coffee brewed first thing in the morning, either for large families of coffee drinkers or those who drink a lot of coffee. The Capresso on the other hand is probably better for someone who the whole coffee process made easier by having the Grinder attached to the coffee maker.
Thanks for reading, I hope you found some information that was useful.
